Himalayan Palace, Southall, UB1
Originally a cinema but ruined when converted into an indoor market hall, this listed building has been converted back into the three screen picture palace it once was, thanks to Vascroft’s enthusiastic and skilful team of craftsmen.
At a cost of around £2m the market stalls were removed, the building was almost completely gutted, the main hall was restored to its former glory and two new, smaller screens were created to serve the viewing needs of the local community, bringing the romance of Bollywood to a new generation of film goers.
