City of London Police Visit QBH site to educate staff on Modern Slavery
14 Sep 2018

The site management at VCL’s Queensbridge House site, arranged a seminar with the City of London Police to educate our workforce on ‘Modern Slavery’. The purpose of the seminar was to educate VCL’s workforce on the definition of Modern Slavery and how the workforce can spot the signs of this taking place. Whilst there is no definitive figure for the scale of modern slavery in the UK, the construction industry has been identified as one of the four sectors most susceptible to this type of crime in its direct business operations and supply chains.

The presentation was carried out on behalf of City of London Police by PC Anne King and Kiran Backhouse
