Holiday Inn Express, Heathrow

This project consisted of the alteration and extension of a former hotel to form a 300 bedroom Express By Holiday Inn Heathrow Hotel, in two phases at 574 London Road, Slough, Berkshire SL3 8QB. Phase 1 involved the demolition of two existing houses and re-design, construction and full fit-out of 124-ensuite-bedroom extension with basement plant room. This resulted in a new entrance with a canopy, reception, bar, breakfast room, buffet bar, staff changing and meeting rooms on the ground floor with underground car parking to the rear. Phase 2 comprised of strip out and demolition of side facade of existing 124 bedroom hotel and design, re-construction, alterations, reconfigurations of internal space, extension and full fit-out of to create additional 176 ensuite bedrooms. As well as a shell-only construction of the employer’s privately run restaurant and associated kitchen.
