About the project

Situated in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, close to Hyde Park, Vascroft was entrusted with transforming the newly launched 100 Queen’s Gate Hotel. The client’s ambition was to convert the former DoubleTree Hotel into a Curio Collection by Hilton property.

To realise this vision, a multimillion-pound refurbishment and restoration were undertaken. The works included the complete refurbishment of 241 bedrooms, the lower ground floor bar, kitchen and gym, and the ground floor orangery, reception, restaurant, and all meeting rooms and corridors.

Two additional lifts were installed alongside a new light well to improve access and natural light. Extensive structural alterations, re-planning, and refurbishment of the basement and ground floor were also required to accommodate an additional 26 bedrooms.

This project demonstrates Vascroft’s expertise in delivering complex, high-specification hospitality refurbishments to elevate guest experience and brand standards.
