About the project

Located in Manchester, Ashton-under-Lyne, Vascroft successfully completed this project in 2022. The scope involved constructing a one-storey building to house a Mandir (Hindu Temple) with an ancillary dining hall, commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, classrooms, priest quarters, and a community hall. The building façade was clad with intricate artisan detailing imported from Gujarat, India, and installed in situ to celebrate cultural heritage.

Embracing a green energy ethos, the design incorporated solar panels and a range of sustainable M&E systems. Soft and hard landscaping works were completed to create an aura of peace and tranquillity throughout the temple grounds.
