About the project

Vascroft successfully completed façade rectification works at Point Red, Luton, in June 2022. The project involved the remediation of combustible cladding and rendering the existing building envelope while the property remained fully occupied. Once removal was safely completed, recladding commenced in full compliance with current fire safety regulations.

The new external wall build-up included the supply and installation of Y-wall systems with MW Environwall render systems, complete with aluminium flashings for a durable and compliant finish.

Our expert site management team oversaw the installation of window perimeter cills, insulation, fire-stopping measures, and penetrations, delivering all works to the highest quality standards. The project presented unique logistical challenges due to restricted access, live occupancy, and the building’s proximity to the railway. The team navigated these complexities seamlessly, maintaining clear communication with neighbours and keeping health and safety as the top priority throughout delivery.
