Located in Birmingham, this project involved constructing a one-storey building to house a Mandir (Hindu Temple), complete with an ancillary dining hall, commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, classrooms, priest quarters, and a community hall. The building was clad with intricate artisan detailing imported from Gujarat, India, and installed in situ to celebrate cultural heritage.
About the project
Aligned with a commitment to sustainability, the design incorporated solar panels and a range of green M&E systems. Soft and hard landscaping works were also carried out to create an aura of peace and tranquillity around this magnificent place of worship, which was completed in 2022.

“We are very close to completing two major community projects in Birmingham and Manchester. Both projects rely on the support and goodwill of devotees, well-wishers, and volunteers.
But the mammoth task of delivering the vision falls upon a trusted Contractor who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the project, whilst being mindful of the challenges every community project face, this is where Vascroft have proven to be a true partner in the journey of our projects. With their vast experience spanning decades in constructing places of worship and community complexes, the team have helped shaped our vision through valued engineering and innovation, ensuring the Community’s needs are always exceeded.
The Vascroft ethos to build communities not just buildings, is very much evident in how they approach, manage, and execute such projects. Each member of the Vascroft team that works on our project, does so with passion, dedication, and sheer hard work not only to simply deliver ‘a good project’ but to ensure the best facilities are provided so that Communities can thrive for generations to come.”
