About the project

This project involved the alteration and extension of a former hotel to create the 300-bedroom Express by Holiday Inn Heathrow Hotel, delivered in two phases at 574 London Road, Slough, Berkshire.

Phase 1 included the demolition of two existing houses, followed by the design, construction, and full fit-out of a 124-ensuite-bedroom extension with a basement plant room. This phase delivered a new entrance with a canopy, reception, bar, breakfast room, buffet bar, staff changing facilities, meeting rooms, and underground car parking.

Phase 2 comprised the strip-out and demolition of the side façade of the existing 124-bedroom hotel, along with extensive reconfiguration and reconstruction works. The extension and full fit-out created an additional 176 ensuite bedrooms, as well as the shell construction of a privately operated restaurant and associated kitchen.

This major project reflects Vascroft’s expertise in delivering complex, phased hospitality developments to the highest standards.
