Vascroft Contractors Ltd have been appointed as the main principal contractor, tasked with bringing The Imperial Hotel Bloomsbury vision to life, ensuring the hotel once again becomes an iconic destination, true to its unique character and style, cherished by future generations.
The Imperial hotel will be undergoing a comprehensive renovation. The Brutalist building will be transformed into a 4-star deluxe lifestyle hotel, serving as the flagship of the family-owned hospitality group when it reopens in 2026.
The scope of works awarded are the Design and construction services in connection with the refurbishment of the existing Imperial Hotel, including structural alterations, façade upgrades, fit-out of existing rooms, upgrade of circulation areas, new wellness area and new roof terrace area – the refurbishment also includes a cut and carve construction on the roof of the hotel to facilitate a new sky bar creating envious viewpoints of London’s skyline.
