This prestigious development, situated at the doorstep of Buckingham Palace, is a 5-star boutique hotel renowned for its distinctive luxury. Vascroft carried out the refurbishment of five apartments to an exceptional standard across two separate floors, incorporating all new electrical wiring and mechanical systems.
The project was meticulously coordinated to ensure seamless integration of electrical, mechanical, ventilation, and high-specification bathroom installations.
Bespoke joinery items were crafted to reflect the refined aesthetic envisioned by acclaimed designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Works were undertaken while the hotel remained fully operational, requiring rigorous health and safety measures and careful planning to avoid disruption to guests and daily operations. Among the highlights of the refurbishment was the creation of the world’s only Jaguar Suite, conceived by Jaguar’s former Design Director Ian Callum, which launched in autumn 2011.

“We searched for a better contractor to take up our ambitious renovations plan for Taj London. We found and subsequently worked with Vascroft to carry out the refurbishment works at St James’ Court, A Taj Hotel, currently owned and operated by The Taj Group. As the Main Contractor on the project, Vascroft refurbished the hotel to the highest standard including mechanical and electrical work. I must commend the Bespoke joinery items that were also included to reflect the high specification of the interior designer. The hotel was fully occupied during the works, but this did not hinder Vascroft’s performance. They worked professionally making sure Health and Safety was a paramount requirement.”
